What is BICOLIO
Bicolio is the new disposable cup designed by Massimo Epifani in order to taste olive oil in optimal conditions even when th typical glass used for tasting isn't available.
Bicolio is inspired by the EEC Regulation n. 2568 approved by the European Commission on July, 11th 1991 regarding the characteristics of olive oils and their production. The Regulation describes the characteristics of the cup used for the sensorial analysis of oils. In particular, according to the Regulation the tasting cup:
- is a glass, resistant and dark in colour;
- it needs to be washed and rinsed accurately in order to avoid soap residuals.
Given these law indications Massimo Epifani has created a new product, more practical and suitable to olive oil tasting.
BICOLIO TAKES CARE OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND QUALITY ISSUES
- Disposable tasting cup, opaque and white in colour, it avoids the use of soap which interferes with the sensorial analysis, as indicated in the EEC Regulation.
